Body Shop Technician

DuTeau Chevrolet Subaru is currently seeking a qualified Body Shop Technician to join our team. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Performing work as outlined on repair orders with accuracy.
•    Communicating with estimators to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
•    Assessing vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
•    Performing all body repairs according to estimate.
•    Performing welding, body alignment, and frame/unibody repairs.
•    Operating all equipment in the collision center is a safe and productive manner. Following all DuTeau Chevrolet Subaru's safety standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the productive floor.
•    Mixing all chemicals according to manufacturer's directions/specifications.
•    Understanding and following federal, state, and local regulations that affect collision center operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA guidelines, etc.
•    Gaining superior product knowledge to provide high quality repairs.
•    ICAR certification (preferred) or interest to become certified.
•    At least two years automotive collision experience (preferred).
•    Must have a valid, in-state drivers license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
•    Ability to operate an automobile.

Service Technician

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receive repair orders from
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
• Document work performed
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

Requirements:
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• General mechanical skills.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
